Position Summary:
Represent La Cabana to the guest throughout all stages of the guest’s visit at the Health Club. Attend to guest’s needs and requirements, perform other duties as required, and follow all safety instructions and rules, including emergency procedures. Comply with all rules and regulations established in our environmental policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Greet guests upon arrival, assist with registration, and attend to special requests.
- Complaint Handling: Listen to, handle, and resolve guest complaints.
- Administrative Duties: File documents, read the Logbook, perform administrative tasks, and manage membership fee payments.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies and linen, and report any missing items.
- Telephone Courtesy: Practice proper telephone courtesy techniques.
- Maintenance Reporting: Report maintenance and housekeeping requests.
- Incident Assistance: Assist with incidents and accidents, and notify the Security Department.
- Facility Knowledge: Be familiar with resort facilities, services, and department names.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain excellent working relationships with all resort departments and participate in environmental and community programs.
Qualifications:
- Professional Appearance: Must be well-groomed and maintain a professional appearance.
- Flexibility: Must be flexible, helpful, well-mannered, and friendly without being familiar.
- Composure: Able to hold up well under pressure without losing composure and friendly attitude.
- Service Knowledge: Familiar with service, guest handling, and administrative procedures.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of other foreign languages is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge and full comprehension of Health Club software programs.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift 30 lbs occasionally and regularly carry, pull, push, or move objects of the same weight.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of high school degree, higher education.
- Computer literate with full comprehension of Health Club software programs.
