Key Responsibilities of a Storeroom Supervisor

• Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping storeroom to ensure efficient management and distribution of cleaning supplies and amenities.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping team to anticipate and fulfill supply needs, ensuring inventory levels are maintained and accounted for accurately.
• Organize and manage stock by establishing and performing regular inventory checks to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
• Receive and inspect incoming supply shipments, ensuring orders are complete and items are in good condition before usage or storage.
• Implement and enforce compliance with safety and cleanliness standards within the storeroom facilities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications for Storeroom Management

• Must be proficient in excel.
• Basic Cost Control knowledge and/or experience.
• Previous experience in inventory management or a supervisory role in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate stock tracking and ordering processes.
• Perform monthly inventory and must be able to take accurate count of storeroom items.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with the housekeeping team and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating leadership capabilities in a diverse team environment.
• Physical stamina to manage storeroom tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items as required.
