POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a pivotal leadership role in supporting the General Manager with the overall operations of the resort. This position is a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Rooms Division, including Housekeeping, Front Office, and Owners Services and Loss Prevention Department, ensuring that all departments function efficiently
and effectively.
This role involves strategic planning, managing resources, and coordinating with
department heads to achieve the resort’s operational goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
The ideal candidate should be a high-energy individual with grit, a go-getter, goal and detail-oriented, possess an innovative spirit, create a harmonious and fun work environment, be people oriented, agile, and resilient.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and executing strategic initiatives to meet resort wide goals and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Resource & Financial Management: Support budget planning and monitor financial performance. Optimize resource allocation and cost control across department.
- Team Leadership: Lead, support, mentor and guide department heads, promoting accountability, performance, and professional development.
- Financial Management: Monitor and manage the division’s budget, ensuring monthly financial goals are met. Conduct budget reviews and optimize revenue margins.
- Policy Implementation: Implement and uphold operational policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with other departments, such as HR, Finance, and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular performance updates to the General Manager and Executive Committee.
- Guest Relations: Handle guest complaints and escalations efficiently and effectively, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Staff Development: Train, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve performance goals and support career development.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management
