As a Recreation Pool & Beach Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations of pool and beach areas, manage the attendant team, ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards, and deliver exceptional guest service across all outdoor aquatic spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule pool and beach attendants, ensuring proper coverage for all shifts, special events, and peak periods.

• Oversee safety protocols, enforce pool and beach rules with courtesy and consistency, and ensure lifeguards and attendants follow established procedures.

• Conduct regular inspections of pool water quality, chemical levels, filtration systems, and surrounding areas; record readings and escalate any issues to maintenance or management immediately.

• Manage daily set up and presentation of loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, towels, and beach amenities to maintain resort standards.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on guest service standards, safety, emergency response, and operational procedures.

• Coordinate minor maintenance activities, oversee equipment checks, and work with Engineering on repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance.

• Monitor supply inventories, place orders for pool and beach consumables, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.

• Respond to and resolve guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally; escalate complex issues to management when required.

• Maintain accurate incident reports, shift logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with resort policies and local regulations.

• Lead daily briefings and coordinate with Lifeguard, Security, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams to support events and guest needs.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines, including resort sustainability practices (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality, recreation management, or related field is an asset.

• Previous supervisory or lead experience in hospitality, pool/beach operations, or a guest-facing environment preferred.

• Current lifeguard certification, CPR, and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain and maintain certifications.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills; additional languages are a plus.

• Sound knowledge of pool water chemistry, basic mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance practices.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and remain on feet for extended periods.

• Physically able to lift and move equipment, set up furniture, and perform routine tasks as needed.

• Reliable, organized, and able to manage schedules, inventory, and documentation with attention to detail.

• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
