At La Cabana, we believe every associate contributes to the heart of our community. As an EM/PM Technician (Electrical/Mechanical – Preventive Maintenance) Technician, you play a vital role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well‑functioning environment for our guests and associates.

About the Role

You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on our property’s mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Your expertise helps us deliver excellence every day — and we celebrate that.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance & Inspections

• Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC systems, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, motors, and related infrastructure.

• Inspect guest room A/C units, air handling units, and major mechanical equipment.

• Conduct daily and weekly walk‑throughs of plant rooms and service areas.

• Identify issues, document findings, and follow up on required maintenance tasks.

Repairs & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.

• Respond promptly to service requests from internal departments.

• Support engineering team during emergencies, special projects, and maintenance week activities.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all equipment is safe and compliant with internal SOPs.

• Maintain organized, clean, and hazard‑free work areas.

• Accurately log all work performed for traceability and auditing.

Teamwork & Culture

• Collaborate with Engineering Supervisors and technicians to complete projects.

Education & Experience

• L.T.S. level or equivalent technical training.

• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or facility maintenance (hospitality preferred).

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.

• Multilingual ability (English, Spanish, Papiamento) is an advantage.
